Bear
enclosure: A brand new enclosure for bear cubs will give them a
more natural experience and even less reaction with humans.
Goshawk cage: Due to Luke passing away we don't have
a specific bird for this cage yet, but once it is finished we are sure it
won't stay empty for long.
Owlhaven: Through a special memorial donation we are able to
build a new raptor enclosure designed with our smaller owls in mind.
Phoenix's
cage: Finally she got a brand new cage built just for
her.
Small Raptor
Recovery cages: A brand new cage for our patients.
Hawk and Falcon enclosure: A double cage
was the plan to house our two male American Kestrels and Red-tailed
hawk. In 2004 the cages were completed.
Aquatic Cages: Cage designed specially for otters. Also cages for
ducks and shore birds. Started in spring 2003. Building halted
because of winter, but became operational by the end of spring 2004.
Large Eagle Flight Cage: More that a year of actual construction was put into our new flight cage. It measures 50' wide by 50' long and stands 20' high. It's used primarily for the large raptors such as bald eagles.
Additional Center Space: Every year our patient load increases. Every year we need more interns to help.
During 2000, the upstairs offices were moved into a new addition built for office space and a new education room.
Intern
Quarters: The center has been housing interns since 1985, but it
wasn't until 2002 that the building and remodeling was finally considered
finished.
